Camps and excursions

Camps and excursions form part of our integrated curriculum. All children are involved in several excursions during the year.

Panton Hill Primary School’s Camping program offers a variety of camping options. Recent camps have included a City Camp, Surfing camp at Anglesea, Ace High Ranch at Camp Schanck and Sovereign Hill. We have a four year rotation of venues so that the Year 3-6 students receive different experiences each year.

Cost depends on length of camp (ie. accommodation and meals), transport (ie. bus or other) and extra activities (ie. from outside providers).

Parents are heavily involved in the program with up to four parents coming on camp with us each year, depending on our numbers. We aim to have a gender balance of adults, complimenting PHPS staff. We aim to have one parent who is a nurse at each camp and look for skills that would be of use to the group.
