Out of School Hours Care

The Panton Hill Out of School Hours Service was established over 20 years ago. We provide a Before School Care Program from 6:45 am to 8:45am and an After School Care Program from 3:20pm to 6:00pm. Both programs are funded by the Commonwealth Government to provide Child Care Benefit to eligible families. We are really excited, in 2023 to be offering a Holiday Program for local school families through the school holidays. This service is managed by Theircare. It is an integral part of Panton Hill Primary School, meeting and supporting the needs of families so parents can confidently pursue work, study and leisure commitments.

We aim to provide quality childcare in a creative, stimulating, safe and secure environment promoting learning and development with emphasis on play, social interactions and recreation. The program runs from the old school residence within the school grounds. The building is dedicated for use by the Service only and provides a warm, welcoming and caring environment where children, families and staff can feel comfortable and secure in the surroundings and facilities it offers.

Theircare is an accredited Child Care provider registered with the National Childcare Accreditation Council to participate in the OSHC Quality Assurance process.

Programs include a wide variety of planned activities such as art and craft, sport, educational challenges and cooking. Activities are designed to encourage participation of all children regardless of age, gender, cultural background and ability. For further information please see the video below:

After school care can be arranged on an occasional (casual) or permanent basis.

Policy approved by School Council states that children who are not collected by 3:50pm be placed in After Hours School Care and that normal fees apply. All users of the program are required to register with MyGov as they may be eligible for fee reduction.
